Air or liguid cooled?

Looking for opinions on which is better, air cooled or liquid cooled engines. I currently have a Yamaha 950T that is air cooled, but I want to move up to a much larger size (cc's) for touring, especailly for touring out West and down South.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

There really isn't a case of which is better.

I will say this, your larger metric bikes will all be liquid cooled, and your harleys are (exception Vrod) all air cooled. That is not the end of the differences, but yet the begining.

once you get into that end of the pool, the aircooled bikes are fine in any situation, it becomes a question of aesthetics, what bike do you like, that's what matters
