2012 Motorcycle Kickstart Classic Announced!

The good news is that this cool 2-day event will leave from Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley, NC and ride over some stunning NC mountain roads. We end up at the AMCA Southern National rally in Denton, NC.

The bad news is we have to limit it to the first 100 to register. More than that and the logistics become overwhelming. Imagine what a gas stop would be like for that many bikes!

The first four registrations arrived in the mail this week. Great article on the first Motorcycle Kickstart Classic ride in the March/Aril issue of RoadBike. Very cool!

We are finalizing the details and hotel discount deals to make it as easy as possible for the registered riders.

Wednesday, May 16. Maggie Valley has lots of hotels and motels, so you are on your own there. All registered riders and passengers are invited to a free Welcome Dinner at Wheels Through Time museum.

Thursday, May 17. We leave from Wheels Through Time at 9 AM on Thursday and ride Crossroads Harley-Davidson in Wilkesboro, NC. They will have an Open House, Bike Show and Party there for us that evening. All registered riders and passengers are invited to a free dinner sponsored by Crossroads Harley. We have special hotel room rates a quarter mile away at the Holiday Inn Express in Wilkesboro, NC. The negotiated discount rate is $67 for up to two people in a room if you mention Motorcycle Kickstart Classic when booking the room. Phone number is 336.838.1800.

Friday, May 18. We leave Friday at 9:30 AM from Crossroads Harley-Davidson for the AMCA meet in Denton where the registered Motorcycle Kickstart Classic riders will have special parking and display spot. We are negotiating with local hotels near there for cheaper rates and hope to have that info in the next day or three.

Remember, registration is limited to the first 100 bikes and riders. The 2 free dinners and hotel discounts are for registered riders (and their registered passengers).
