Fork Oil Gauge

Tool Tips: Fork Oil Level Gauge

After installing new fork seals, you could pour fresh oil into the tubes and measure it with a ruler, as shown in this article. Or, for a more precise method, you could use a Fork Oil Level Gauge from Motion Pro. The gauge comes with a long, graduated pipe and an adjustable fork-top stop that’s attached to a plastic syringe, which has a capacity of 60ml. The syringe lets you add small amounts of oil until you achieve just the right level. And, if you pour in too much oil, it’ll let you draw some back out. This tool is also great for use on mountain bike forks, if your two-wheel interests are diverse. RB
