Were you able to get a windshield with black framing instead of chrome? I'm seriously considering one if I can find the right stage 1 pipes. Some shorty dual shots pipes would be nice but the ones I have seen so far are all kind of long.

I'm about 60% sure I'm going to buy one of these (Highball) in spring or summer '12. Love the old school looks and elegant lack of chrome. Just one thing though. Why no mention of engine performance in the review by Steve Lita? I'm not really a huge speed freak or anything, but who doesn't love the occasional quick blast of power and acceleration, especially when your riding with a small group (yes, I admit it, I'll show you mine if you show me yours!)?

Enjoyed your review, I'm in the process of buying one, i'm reading up a lot on it an havent found any bad comments about the bike, except when you said about the back tire locking up on you. That's happened to me on my bike before, I think I can live with that, being the only thing wrong with it, apparently. I'm really excited about owning one. I went on a Victory Demo ride and got to ride a few of their bikes, but the Highball took first place for me. Such a comfortable ride especially for me, I'm only 5'7, but was extremely surprised about how comfy the apes were. So just wanted to say thanks for making my decision a good one, Plus making it even easier for me to love the bike, and want it even more.
