AMA Takes On April With “Go Ride! Month”

AMAMarch is almost over and with it the snow, ice, and low temperatures (hopefully). To help renew bikers nationwide of their passion for riding, the American Motorcyclist Association will be celebrating April by sponsoring “AMA Go Ride! Month.” Throughout this month-long event, AMA will host contests with various prizes, including a Shoei helmet, a Tour Master Intake jacket, Cortech tank bags, and more. The prizes are courtesy of AMA partner Helmet House.

Each week will also focus on a special motorcycling theme.

March 29-April 5: “AMA Go Ride Your Way!” This week, the theme will be favorite trails and twisties. Riders are encouraged to submit stories and pictures of their favorite rides and the meaning behind them.

April 6-12: “AMA Go Ride Together!”  Here, AMA will showcase the fun of riding with family, friends, and co-workers, in addition to AMA clubs and the online motorcycle community. Featured will be rallies and local events, AMA national conventions, gypsy tours, and dual-sport and adventure-touring rides.

April 13-19: “AMA Go Ride for a Cause!” The spotlight for this week will focus on events and activities that support worthy causes and those that help those less fortunate.

April 20-26: “AMA Go Ride Safely!”  During this time, AMA will promote rider training, skills development, and selecting the proper riding apparel to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on every ride.

Every Friday, called “Freedom Friday”, will also alert motorcyclists about important issues that pose a threat to motorcycling freedoms.
