The Scott's Valley, California police department has begun using Zero electric motorcycles

The Zero DS has a range of 50 miles per charge running off of its lithium-ion battery pack and is highway legal with a top speed of 67mph. The bikes don’t have gears, which makes them as easy to ride as a Vespa and at less than a $.01 per mile are inexpensive to run.
