BREAKING NEWS: Daytona Bike Week to Start Later in 2012

Daytona Bike Week, which just celebrated its 70th anniversary, will take place a week later next year. According to the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, the rally is moving to March 9-18, 2012, The move coincides with NASCAR’s decision to push the date of the 2012 Daytona 500 back one week; the Speedway requires two weeks to make the conversion from car to motorcycle racing. 

Bike Week would still start on a Friday and run for ten days; an official announcement from the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce about moving Bike Week should come next week.
