Daytona Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition Winners

Daytona Beach (March 17, 2011) – The Progressive International Motorcycle Show announced the winners of the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition: United States Championship, at Daytona Beach Bike Week, on Friday, March 11. This elite custom motorcycle builder competition featured custom bikes from across the country including winners from previous Progressive International Motorcycle Show stops. The Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Competition used a three class format including freestyle, modified Harley and performance custom.

Kenny Williams of KW Customs, from Benson, NC, took home first place in the freestyle category for his 2011 KW Customs Bagger (estimated value $70,000) featuring a 127ci V-Twin motor; front and rear air ride suspension; and a 23-inch Performance Machine front wheel. Kenny received $6,000 in prize money, as well as an HD GoPro camera, from Star.

Top prize in the modified Harley category went to LA Speed Shop owner Chris Richardson, from Alhambra, CA, for his 1947 Harley-Davidson FL (estimated value $40,000) featuring a 74ci Knucklehead V-Twin motor, Springer front-end and various one-off machined parts. Chris received $6,000 in prize money, as well as a Screaming Eagle motor, from Harley-Davidson.

The first place performance custom prize went to Jack McCoy of RCC Sportbike, from Grand Ledge, MI, for his 2008 Suzuki B-King (estimated value $100,000) featuring a twin turbo charged 1340cc Straight Four motor; a 21-inch front wheel; and radiators relocated under the tail section. Jack received $2,000 in prize money, as well as an HD GoPro camera, from GYTR.
