Dealer-Only Custom Motorcycle Show to Showcase Local Talents
The Ultimate Dealer Custom Bike Show presented by American Iron Magazine will take place at the inaugural American V-Twin Dealer Show, co-located with the 2012 Dealer Expo, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis February 17-19, 2012. More than 30 custom bikes will be prominently displayed at the entrance of the American V-Twin Dealer Show for all attendees to enjoy throughout the weekend.
Top builders from across the country will participate for a chance to win a piece of the $16,000 prize package. Participants include: Steve Broyles, from Stevenson Cycles; Jeff Cochran, from Speed King Racing; Pat Patterson, from Led Sled Customs; and Eric Gorges, from VooDoo Choppers.
From a RevTec 115’ polished engine valued at $5,400 and a set of Extreme Wheels valued at $2,500 to a new Le Pera Solo Seat and Daytec 200 Outlaw Frame Kit, a total of more than $16,000 in prizes will be divided and awarded to the top three bikes in each category. In addition, several of the winning motorcycles will be featured in Dealernews, the leading industry powersports publication, and in American Iron Magazine, the world’s best-selling Harley magazine.
Ultimate Dealer Bike Show presented by American Iron Magazine will have a three class format with motorcycles categorized as freestyle – unlimited anything goes; modified bagger –touring style with saddlebags; and modified bobber – no front fender and solo seat preferred. Top three bikes in each class will receive awards. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 19, at 2:30 p.m. at the show.
Judging will be conducted by leading industry experts including high-profile builders and industry luminaries including Zach Ness, Arlen Ness Enterprises; Randy Aron, Cycle Visions; Howard Stubbins, GH marketing; Charlie Hadayia, Biker’s Choice; Holger Mohr, Industry Expert; Jeff Starke, IMBBA, Joe DiStefano, IMBBA; and Gunnar Heinemeyer, Custom Chrome.

Motorcycle Customs Expert Bob Kay will also host a seminar titled “From Passion to Profit” for dealers to learn how to profit from custom bike building on Friday, February 17, at 4 p.m. and Sunday, February 19, at 12 p.m. The seminar takes the focus from winning to growing the business.
