I was on hand last Saturday night for the grand opening ceremony of 20th Century Cycles in Oyster Bay Long Island. Owner Billy Joel was a gracious host and his collection of vintage motorcycles is top notch. There were Bobbers, Classics, Vintage, Baggers, and Cafe Bikes from manufacturers like Moto Guzzi, BMW, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Indian, Royal Enfield, and more. 20th Century Cycles was established to help re-vitalize the village community of Oyster Bay and support local tourism. One person described it as Billy’s man-cave, a place where he can go to get a respite from work as an entertainer. We’ll be featuring 20th Century Cycles in an upcoming issue of RoadBike.
